This vintage-inspired perfumery base is an IFRA-compliant 1:1 replacement for the famous nitromusk, Musk Xylene (or Musk Xylol). Musk Xylene was a staple of classical perfumery until the EU banned it in 2011. It was ubiquitous in classic perfume formulas of the 19th and 20th centuries and is known for the radiance, richness, and warm, fatty, soapy nuance it can add to a composition.
My replacer base uses modern synthetic musks and aroma materials that are safe and IFRA-compliant, yet still impart a similar odor profile and functional effect in a perfume. Now you can enjoy Musk Xylene's unique characteristics without sacrificing safety or compliance.
