Ambroxan® is a synthetic aroma-material used to impart an ambergris note in perfumery. It’s characteristic is dry, amber, woody, with marine like nuances. It is useful in constructing marine accords and aquatic fragrances, and aids in boosting the diffusivity and projection of a fragrance. Ambroxan® is also perfect to add roundness and fullness to woody amber accords and to add body and density to a composition. Ambroxan® can last up to 400+ hours on a smelling strip, so it is a wonderful fixative for use in perfumery.
