Bulgarian Rose Otto
Known as the Queen of Flowers, the rose has been considered for centuries to be the golden standard floral for use in perfumery. It takes around 756,800 roses to create 1 pound of rose essential oil (otto). The damascena (or Damask) rose is the most widely used rose in perfumery. It is also known as the Bulgarian Rose, Taif Rose, Turkish Rose & Ispahan Rose depending on location of growth. This rose otto displays an airy, sweet, slightly citrus top note, with a soft pink rosewater, rose petal characteristic. Rose otto is less dense & heavy than rose absolute, and is lacking the spicy, honey & woody nuances of the absolute. This rose otto smells like a fresh rose growing on the stem.
