The Perfume of the Month for August is a vintage-inspired fragrance that features an often-neglected floral….the buddleia, or butterfly bush. One of my favorite flowers to smell in the high heat of a Western Pennsylvania August is the intoxicating bloom of the butterfly bushes that serve as a backdrop to my front porch garden. The sweet, blossom-like blooms release their most intense aroma in the scorching August heat, and I cherish how their sweet and spicy aroma quietly wafts in through my open windows in the evening.
