Heliotropin (also called Piperonal) is a delicate, elegant material used to impart a creamy, sweet, vanilla, almond-like floral nuance to perfumes. It is especially useful for perfumes constructed in a classic or vintage style. It approximates the odor of heliotropin flowers in full bloom and can smooth out high-impact materials like acetates & aldehydes.
Because pure Piperonal is restricted by the DEA, this aromachemical is legally supplied in a 50% dilution in DPG (Dipropylene glycol).
