L-Citronellol (Laevo)
Citronellol is an isolate found naturally in rose and geranium, as well as other plants and grasses. This chiral enantiomer (L-) is derived from Geranium in nature. It has a softer, more delicate floral characteristic than racemic citronellol. It’s odor is rosy, waxy, floral geranium, green, with a powdery and light citrus undertone. It is a key material for the construction of rose accords, and is a floral builder that is a staple in every perfumer’s palette.
