Violet Leaf Absolute is created by the solvent extraction of the green violet leaves of the Viola Odorata, not the flowers. The odor of violet leaf absolute is damp, cool, green, leafy, earthy, stemmy and vegetal with a gentle floral and woody undertone. In dilution & upon drydown the smell becomes more grassy & cucumber-like.

It is indispensable for lending realism to green herbal accords, as well as creating a realistic backdrop of foliage for floral accords and bouquets. Violet Leaf Absolute helps to add complexity and depth to violet accords, as well as adding a cool, waxy earthy nuance to orris accords. Used in deep dilution it also lends a realistic watery feel to aquatic fragrances and oceanic accords.

This absolute is available in its pure form which is a viscous, dark green liquid, or it is available pre-diluted in natural TEC (Triethyl citrate) at 10% for your convenience and ease of use. The 10% dilution is only available in the following sizes: 2g, 15g and 30g.
